ERS is a managed service and software company that helps industrial facilities set up, organize, and run their fixed equipment and tank integrity inspection programs. We combine a purpose-built database platform — PRISE® — with an expert team that manages the program alongside you, so your engineers don’t have to carry that administrative burden themselves.

Our primary contacts are reliability engineers, maintenance managers, capital projects engineers, and engineering managers at large industrial facilities — particularly those responsible for tank integrity and fixed equipment inspection programs. In most cases, these are the people who have been handed a compliance program as part of a broader role and need expert support to manage it properly.

Our strongest foothold is in pulp and paper mills across North America, where we have nearly two decades of experience. We also can serve chemical plants, oil and gas facilities, and general industrial and manufacturing operations. If your facility manages fixed equipment, storage tanks, or pressure relieving devices under regulatory or corporate compliance requirements, we can help.

ERS serves facilities across the United States and Canada. Our team works remotely and on-site as needed — we go where the work is.

Most companies in this space sell software and leave you to figure it out. ERS is a managed service first — you’re not buying a login, you’re buying our team. PRISE® is the platform we use to manage your program, but the real value is the expert team behind it that runs the program for you day to day.

Inspection companies send people to do the physical inspections. ERS manages everything around those inspections — working closely with you and your team to handle the data, records, compliance documentation, and audit prep. We collaborate directly with your engineers to make sure the right decisions get made, then take the administrative weight of executing that plan off their plate.

No. ERS complements your existing team — we take the administrative and compliance management burden off your engineers so they can focus on higher-priority work. We also work alongside your existing inspection vendors and integrate your historical data into PRISE® so nothing gets lost.

ERS was founded in 2007 by Nancy Hoffman, a deeply experienced inspection engineer. The company has nearly two decades of experience in tank integrity program management and has grown steadily through word of mouth and client referrals. Craig Reynolds took over ownership in 2023 and has been focused on purposeful growth since. Learn more about our story here.

We help clients stay compliant with a range of industry standards and regulatory requirements including API 653, ASME, PSM (Process Safety Management), as well as corporate and insurance guidelines specific to each client’s facility and industry.

The first step is a consultation call where we learn about your current program, your assets, and where the gaps are. From there we’ll put together a plan for getting your program set up, organized, and running properly. You can book a consultation directly through our website.
