Audit on the Horizon? Here's What You Need to Know.
What types of audits do you support?
We support corporate audits, insurance reviews, and regulatory inspections when needed. Whether your audit is scheduled in advance or arrives with short notice, our job is to make sure your documentation is organized, complete, and ready to present before anyone asks for it.
How far in advance do you need to know about an upcoming audit?
The more notice the better—but because we manage your program on an ongoing basis, the information we handle is kept current year-round and can be pulled and exported at any time. That means the documentation side of what we manage is always organized and at your fingertips, rather than scrambled together last minute. That said, every audit is different, and there will likely be elements that fall outside of what we cover, so we’d always recommend looping us in early so we can support your team in the areas where we can make the biggest difference
Do you provide on-site support during audits?
Yes, for clients who need it. We can provide on-site support to help coordinate documentation, answer questions about the program, and make sure everything runs smoothly during the audit itself.
What about shutdown and outage support?
We help build out shutdown inspection plans, coordinate with inspection vendors, and track every inspection through completion during outages. The goal is to make sure shutdowns run on schedule and nothing gets missed or undocumented.
Can you help us prepare for an insurance audit specifically?
Yes. Insurance audits often focus on whether you have a documented, systematic process for managing your equipment inspections — which is exactly what ERS provides. We help you organize the documentation and demonstrate that your program is well-managed and compliant.
What if we've never had a formal compliance program before?
That’s completely fine and actually quite common. We start with a gap analysis to understand where you currently stand, then work systematically to get your program set up, documented, and compliant with the applicable standards for your facility and industry.
